Photovoltaic Systems

Photovoltaic Systems

Photovoltaic Systems (PV) engineered to meet your specific requirements and site conditions. The size of a PV system is based on several conditions: amount of electricity you want to off set from your current electric bill, area required to install the desired system on and the amperage size of AC load center main breaker. The PV Systems consist of array of PV modules producing direct current (DC) from sunlight. Remaining major mechanisms are power conditioning, energy storage devices and balance of system (BOS).

BOS include necessary mechanisms to assemble and integrate the foremost components in the PV System. BOS components are engineered for the specific site conditions and code requirements. For example:

  • Conductors and wiring methods
  • Conduits and raceways
  • Disconnect switches
  • Fuses and circuit breakers
  • Grounding and bonding
  • Terminals and connections
  • Array mounting systems
  • Structural fastening systems

Grid connected PV systems supplement site electrical loads.

Types of PV Systems:

  • Roof Mounted
  • Ground Mounted
  • Independent Canopy or Trellis
  • Building Canopies
  • Skylights

PV systems can be designed to supply power to any type of electrical load at any service voltage.
