What is renewable Energy?

Renewable energy is energy that comes from sources that renew itself in nature. Examples of renewable energy resources are moving water, thermal gradients in ocean water, biomass, geothermal energy, solar energy and wind.

In the state of Ohio what kind of renewable energy technologies are available?

Photovoltaics (PV) converting sunlight into electricity using cells made of semiconductor material.

Solar thermal systems heat water through circulating water or other fluids through a solar panel and commonly used to heat domestic water and swimming pools.

Passive solar designs, heat comes through windows on the south side of building and stored by the thermal mass inside the structure.
